It's just slightly over a year since I wrote SoundCloud alternatives - where to go with your music if SoundCloud dies one day, a blog post examining a few services that could eventually serve as a replacement for dying SoundCloud. One of them was Audius, a very young platform that just got launched a short while before I...
Pao's Blog
When I want to take a break from making music, I like to write about what I have learned on my musical journey... So I started this blog where I'll be covering a various range of topics more or less related to lofi and chillhop, hoping it will help somebody else with their hustle.
Despite I am no fan of a mainstream culture, it still kinda warms up my heart when I see that somebody outside the scene notices the genre and builds something interesting around it. So naturally, when I saw the Lo-Fi player, I couldn't help myself not to check it out straight away.

And while there are musicians making divine pieces using just the bare minimum, once you feel the difference between FL Studio's built-in "FL Keys" and Native Instruments "Una Corda" (basically, both piano VSTs but one free and "OK" and one expensive...

But especially when you're an impatient person like me, the process of searching for samples can sometimes get a little frustrating, and even more if you don't even know where to look.
A monthly selection of the "best" beats that caught my ears the most amongst all the past month's submissions is here again! It's always hard to choose just six of them, so this time I finally snapped and added three more, possibly making this a standard for the future post. And here they are, waiting for you, to put your...
